Gain - Board Development Programme.
Gain is an acronym for Governance, Access, Inclusion and Networking.  It is a board development programme which aims to enrich arts, sports and heritage organisations in London.  The programme promotes good governance practice.  Individuals seeking board management opportunities will develop the skills and knowledge required to effectively serve as trustees of participating organisations.

The Independent Theatre Council is managing this programme, on behalf of five partners; Arts Council England, Museums Libraries and Archives, Sporting Equals, the Greater London Authority and Arts & Business, who collectively fund and steer the programme.
The programme provides BME individuals with the opportunity and skills to serve on the boards of arts or sports organisations in London.

Gain programme has three main aims
To increase the diversity of arts, heritage and sports organisations in London, at board level

To increase the awareness of, and commitment to, diversity issues within arts, heritage and sport organisations in London

To resource individuals from BME groups to serve on the boards of arts, heritage and sports organisations.
