• to increase the diversity of arts, heritage and sports organisations in London, at board level
• to increase the awareness of and commitment to diversity issues within arts, heritage and sports organisations in London
• to resource disabled people and individuals from BME groups to serve on the boards of arts, heritage and sports organisations.

The programme will achieve these aims by delivering on the following objectives

• to provide a modular training programme to participating organisations in London
• to deliver a modular training programme to disabled people and Black and minority ethnic individuals which will equip them to serve on the board of an arts or sports organisations
• to facilitate the selection process between potential board members and participating organisations
• to encourage a network of peer support amongst Gain participants both matched and waiting to be matched
